About Contributions

Upon employment, an individual Plan account is established in your name under the AP-MPPP. An amount equal to 12% of your compensation is withheld from each paycheck and paid into your personal account. The City also provides a 100% match (equal to 12% of compensation) to each participant’s account with every paycheck. You do not need to complete any forms to become a Plan participant. You will be automatically enrolled in the Plan on your first day of full-time employment with the Aurora Police Department and contributions will begin with your first paycheck.
